خاموش تابستان خوبی را برای همۀ اعضا و همراهانش آرزو می‌کند. به امید شنیدن و ساختن آواهایی از هم‌بستگی و هم‌دلی. به بهانۀ پا گذاشتن به تابستان، چند پیشنهاد برای مرور و شنیدن:

این گزارش – با ارائه‌ی پانتهآ آرمانفر، خورشید پارسی، مریم فاضلی فیشر، گلنوش حشمتی، فاطمه ساعدی، رامین محمودی و نیلوفر لاری، در دو بخش تنظیم شده است. رامین محمودی گزارش‌ها را تدوین کرده است.

اردوی رادیویی یایایانِی‌نِی‌نِی: نقطه‌ی پایان و درآمدی دیگر
۷ آذر ۱۴۰۲، پخش زندهی رادیویی نقطه‌ی پایان این اردو را نگاشت، که خود درآمدی دیگر شد برای یادگیری و شنیدن زندگی اهالی روستای گوران در جزیره‌ی قشم. در این پخش زندهی رادیویی در قالب با‌هم‌شنیدنی عمومی، نتیجه‌ی روند با هم کار کردن اعضای خاموش در طول پنج هفته در پاییز ۱۴۰۲ به گوش مخاطبان علاقه‌مند رسید.

ارائه در "New Institute" روتردام برای برنامه‌ی "Research Nights" فروردین ۱۴۰۳
دیگر شرکت‌کنندگان در این برنامه اَش کیلمن (رادیو وُرم)، براندون لابل و گروه کُرکُر بودند.
با هم شنیدن خاموش در جشنواره‌ی ری‌وایِر، ۱۹ فروردین ۱۴۰۳
گلنوش، جلسۀ با‌هم‌شنیدنی را در جشنوارهٔ ری‌وایِر امسال در لاهه در فضای "page not found" طراحی و هدایت کرد: چگونه می‌شود صدا به نوعی زبان مشترک تبدیل شود؟ در این جلسه، گلنوش، شنوندگان را دعوت کرد تا در کنار هم، با هم گوش دادن را چون ابزاری برای تصور شباهت‌ها و مشترکا‌ت جوامع آینده به کار بگیرند. با الهام از موضوع جشنواره، «زمان‌ها و قلمرو‌ها»، در این جلسه، به صداهایی از گذر و حرکت و انتقال گوش سپرده شد. دعوت به توجه به لحظاتی که این صداها به نوعی دانش جمعی، فرای مرز و زبان گفتار، تبدیل می‌شود.

کارگاه کریتیوکامنز ۱۷ آذر ۱۴۰۲ - گزارش از روند کارگاه مجازی
خاموش روز ۱۷ آذر ۱۴۰۲، کارگاه مجازی کریتیوکامنز را برگزار کرد که در آن دعوتی عمومی برای بازخوانی جمعی ترجمه‌های پروانه‌ها و مجوزهای قانونی آن اعلام شد. این کارگاه را ضبط و تدوین کردیم و نسخه‌ی مجازی آن در چندین ویدیو به زبان فارسی و توضیح مختصری به زبان انگلیسی در این صفحه در دسترس است.
به علاوه با حمایت خاموش، پانتهآ و سامان کرم‌پور، از علاقه‌مندان به بازخوانی جمعی، بورس کریتیوکامنز را برای گذراندن مدرکی از کریتیوکامنز با عنوان «The CC Certificate for Open Culture/ GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives and museums)» دریافت کردند که در تابستان ۱۴۰۳ در طول ۱۰ هفته برگزار می‌شود.
سامان کرم‌پور بنیان‌گذار رسانه «اُورسی» فعال فرهنگی ساکن ایران است که در حوزه‌های مختلف مرتبط با فرهنگ و هنر مستقل فعالیت دارد.
پیشنهاد همکاری: اگر به بازخوانی جمعی ترجمهی پروانه‌های کریتیوکامنز به فارسی و کردی علاقه دارید، این روند به انتشار این پروانه‌ها در وبسایت کریتیوکامنز کمک خواهد کرد و مراتب همکاری شما نیز در کنار این پروانه‌ها منتشر خواهد شد. این بازخوانی جمعی تأثیری مثبت در کاربرد و پاگرفتن ادبیات قانونی اشتراک‌گذاری باز آثار دیجیتال دارد.
چیدمان صدا و تصویر «میان داد و خاموشی»
آغاز ماجرا آنجاست که مردی از زمانی دیگر با شعری که سروده به زمان و فضای فکری ما وارد شده، و اکنون می‌خواهیم با اثر گرفتن از اندیشه و احساس او زمانه و دغدغه‌های خودمان را بیان کنیم؛
قرار بر درنوردیدن مرزهاست، اما چگونه؟
یکی از عصرهای پاییز را انتخاب می‌کنیم. هر کدام بساطمان را پهن می‌کنیم. باید کاری کنیم که پیوند بین مکان‌ها و فرایندها و زمان از نو تعریف شود.
شعرش را چندین بار خوانده‌ام: گذشته، بیداد، امشب. شاعر بر «امشب» تکیه کرده و به بیدادِ گذشته چشم دوخته است؛ امشبِ او برای من سورمه‌ای، مشکی، قرمز تیره و نارنجی است.
کار را شروع می‌کنیم. هر کس دراکنونِ دیگری حاضر می‌شود، فضاهایمان به هم پیوند می‌خورد، صداها، رنگ‌ها و زخمه‌های سه‌تار درهم می‌‌آمیزد میان داد و خاموشی.
این کار توسط بنیاد هنری مردمی گندی‌شاپور حمایت شده است.
گزارشی از فعالیت‌های اندرونی خاموش
اعضای خاموش بهار خود را با چند نوبت قرار گروهی به تسهیل‌گری پریسا آغاز کردند که در آن به فکر و گفتوگو در باب کارهای درجریان در خاموش و چشم‌انداز ماه‌های آتی پرداختیم. این روند درجریان را در قالب چند نمودار فکری با گروه به اشتراک گذاشتیم تا در طول سال به آن رجوع کنیم و در این روند کار گروهی و مشارکتی، همپوشانی فعالیت‌ها را بهتر نظاره‌گر باشیم.
با فیلتر شدن دیسکورد در ایران، بر آنیم که فضای کار گروهی جدیدی بسازیم و در این مسیر نیازمند همراهی اعضای خاموش هستیم!

Radio residency at Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee: conclusion and a starting point
The research is in: listen up and look over the results from Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee’s 2023 autumn radio residency, a starting point for a new process.
Khamoosh reflected on and researched previous ongoing projects that initially started from a trip that two of their members had made to Gouran village on Qeshm island, located in the south of Iran.
You can now listen to our archived broadcast during the project, as well as read more about the conversations and activities that took place. The broadcast was an experimental way of organising research material sonically. A playful interaction between the live and the recorded, creating parallels between different places and timelines.
The next steps are: 1) completing Gouran-nameh: the glossary of words to document the Qeshmi language (Gourani dialect), 2) A collective listening session in Gouran village, 3) Continuing conversations with the local community.
Collective listening and presentation part of Research Nights: Through Sounds x Rewire, New Institute, Rotterdam, March 2024
Research project Through Sounds and music festival Rewire together hosted an evening of listening, discussion and sharing.
Golnoosh representing Khamoosh joined Federica Notari (researcher at Nieuwe Instituut) and Katia Truijen (context curator at Rewire) in an exploration of how place, sound and community find each other through networks of care and support while recognizing the fragility of these temporalities and spaces. The night began with a five-minute sound piece, a mix sourced from the various archives collected by Khamoosh, finishing with a sound collage created by pantea during one of our collective listening sessions.
Other invited speakers were Ash Kilmartin (RADIO WORM), Brandon LaBelle, and Corecore (Tjobo Kho, Jan-Pieter 't Hart, Callum Dean). The conversation was moderated by Federica Notari and Katía Truijen.
Khamoosh listening session, Collective Listening for Rewire Festival, part of Times and Territories programme, Page Not Found, The Hague, April 2024
How can sounds converge to form a common language? In this listening session, Golnoosh, one of Khamoosh’s members, invited the participants to use collective listening as a tool for imagining the overlaps and commonalities of possible future communities. Inspired by the context of this year’s Rewire festival, this session explored the sounds of passing, movement, and transmission in moments where sound becomes a form of shared knowledge, transcending the limitations of language and territory.
In conversation with Radna Rumping, Golnoosh introduced Khamoosh and shared her 15-minute sound piece for the listening part of the program. The sound piece took the audience on a journey through the Khamoosh archive, weaving together everyday life experiences both within and beyond the borders of Iran.
Following the sound piece, the audience was invited to share their own experiences and ask questions about the various sources. We discussed topics such as archiving, preserving through sharing, and different ways of gathering around sound.
-- Next steps for collective listening sessions at Rabt space:
In August, Khamoosh members will be gathering together at Rabt space for a full day of different group activities. The day will kick off with a few hours spent with the current residents of Rabt space, Sedakhaneh. Sedakhaneh members are currently in the process of digitising their extensive archive of Iranian folk music.
They will introduce Khamoosh to the process of their work while we all listen to some of the music.
We will then have a collective listening session, and join online with Khamoosh members who reside outside of Tehran.
Khamoosh: Creative Commons Report and Workshop (08.12.2023)
Khamoosh’s ongoing collective effort in the translation of the CC licenses and their legal codes into Farsi and Kurdish has been documented and concluded in a workshop on the 8th of December 2023. There is a detailed report of this progress here.

Also, the virtual workshop including recordings of various parts and all slides is shared here to be accessible for the Farsi-speaking communities interested in CC and Open Culture discussions:
We see this report and workshop to be a starting point for creating a shared context for different communities within/around Iran to form their own discourses of open culture and digital sharing.
On this note and following the workshop, pantea a member of Khamoosh and Saman Karampour received two scholarships to undertake the «CC Certificate for Open Culture/ GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives and museums)» during 10 weeks in summer 2024. They hope to further expand this communal space for people in/around Iran through their final project for this course.
Saman Karampour the founder of "Owrsi" is a cultural activist who delves into the complex realms of subcultures to find insightful perspectives.
Call for Collaboration: If you are interested in peer-reviewing the Farsi and Kurdish translations before they are finalised and published on the CC website, drop us an email with the subject “Peer-review CC”. This will greatly contribute to the improvement of the translation process. Your efforts will be acknowledged alongside the publication of the translations.
An Installation of Sound and Image “in-between steps”
It started when a man from another time touched our thoughts via his poem, and now we want to express ourselves while having his feelings in mind;
It means to move through boundaries, but how?
We choose an ordinary evening in fall and prepare things to try to re-define the relation between time, place and process.
I have read his poem time and again: “past”, “injustice”, “tonight” are what he talks about. He had stood on the verge of “tonight” and glared at all that had passed unjustly. For me, his “tonight” is navy blue, black, crimson red and orange.
We begin. Each of us makes her way to the others’ “present” and “here”. Our spaces and places connect to each other. Sounds, colors, images and picks of SeTar become intertwined in-between steps.

A Report of Khamoosh Internal Activities
– Members of Khamoosh started their new year (Nowruz) with a couple of meetings facilitated by Parisa.
Over the sessions, we discussed ongoing visions and needs within Khamoosh and tried to draw a perspective of what comes next in the next year.
The outcome is reflected in the form of mind-mapping to be used as a referential point for our group.
- As Discord became restricted in Iran, we are in the process of building a new group workspace using Nextcloud.
